Abstract
People's development emerges as a condition to enable and expand policies, values, attitudes, and actions capable of materializing strategies aimed at the sustainability of the planet and its forms of life. This development tends to produce systems of thought and action that are incorporated into the social, political, economic, productive, and cultural tissue. HRD area is assumed as critical for the organizational sustainability, through the development of strategies and processes, e.g., of learning, experimentation, training, which contribute to the development and systematization of mental, attitudinal and cultural frameworks increasingly capable of responding to the challenges associated with environmental problems. The present work operationalizes a qualitative methodological approach, of an exploratory nature, focused on the potential positive relationship between the development of human resources, the development and systematization of critical thinking and sustainable practices for the development of organizations, as a solid foundation for a sustainable future.
