Cidália Maria da Mota Lopes has a degree in Economics, a Master's Degree in European Economics, and a PhD in Management from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra. She is also post graduated in Banking and Insurance from the Law Faculty of the University of Coimbra. She is a lecturer at Coimbra Business School CBS-ISCAC, where she teaches in the tax field. Since 2019, she has been Chairman of the Audit Committee and from 2015 to the present a non-executive Director of the bank Millennium BCP. She is a member of the Scientific Council of CBS-ISCAC and of the Portuguese Tax Association (AFP). She was a member of the Working Groups for Tax Simplification and for Tax Policy, Competitiveness and Efficiency of the Tax System in Portugal, of the XVII and XVIII Constitutional Portuguese Government. She is a member of the Centre for Research in Accounting and Taxation at IPCA (IPCA-Portugal). She regularly publishes books and scientific articles in national and international scientific journals in the tax field.
