Delfina Gabriela Ramos is Professor at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD), Vila Real. She also holds the title of Professor Honoris Causa at the University of Skopje, Macedonia. PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Minho. She is a researcher at the INESC TEC - Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science at the University of Porto. She conducts research as part of the Center ALGORITMI in the Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) group, focusing on Ergonomics and Human Factors at the School of Engineering, University of Minho. Her research work centers around various areas: Safety Engineering; Occupational Health and Safety; Integrated management systems Quality, Environment and Occupational Health and Safety; Sustainability and Environment; Project Management; Human factors and Ergonomics; Benchmarking; Textile; Standardisation in Nanotechnologies; Circular Economy; and Tourism. Delfina Ramos is an experienced auditor and consultant. She is a Certified Health and Safety High Technician and a senior member of the Professional Association of Engineers of Portugal. She also holds membership of the National Council of the Member of the Assembly of Representatives of the Order of Engineers (2025/2028). She is a member of CT194 (Technical Commission for the Standardization of Nanotechnologies - SC4 - Health, Safety, and Environment) at the Portuguese Quality Institute (IPQ). Delfina Ramos has earned specializations in Safety Engineering and Industrial Engineering and Management, both recognized by the Order of Engineers of Portugal.
