José Vale is PhD in Management with a specialization in Accounting and Management Control from the Faculty of Economics, University of Porto. He also holds a Master's degree in Administration and Management and an MBA in Business Operations Management from the Portuguese Catholic University. He has several articles published in indexed international journals (WoS and Scopus), having also participated in different international and national conferences, most of them indexed (WoS and SCOPUS). He has been a member of different scientific committees in conferences (namely international and indexed), such as the European Conference on Knowledge Management. Currently, his research interests focus on: Accounting; Intellectual Capital; Knowledge Management; Non-financial Disclosure, Sustainability; Social Responsibility; Case Study Method; and Systematic Literature Reviews. He is also a member of the Centre for Organisational and Social Studies of the Polytechnic of Porto (CEOS.PP) and a member of the Portuguese Institute of Certified Accountants.
