José Carlos Pereira de Morais received his PhD in Sociology from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto (FLUP, UP), Portugal, in 2010. He is a Coordinating Professor at the Instituto Superior Politécnico Gaya. Since 2012 he has been the director of the scientific journal Revista de Psicologia, Educação e Cultura, chairing the organizing committees of the four International Congresses promoted this publication (2013, 2015, 2019 and September 2022). Chaired the organizing committees of the international congresses ISPGAYA22, ISPGAYA23, and ISPGAYA24, dedicated to the topic of Sustainability. In terms of scientific research, coordinates the research nucleus Research and Development Center-ISPGAYA. Researcher in CEOS.PP (Centre for Organizational and Social Studies of the Polytechnic of Porto) since 2017. From 2014 to the present, he has been President of the Technical-Scientific Council of ISPGAYA, reconciling activity in institutional management bodies with teaching activity in higher education, which now has 27 years, starting in 1997, after completing the Master's in Sociology in the area of cultural associations, also from FLUP, UP. In 2022 he was a technical and scientific consultant in the area of sociology in the Ecomuseum of Vale do Neiva project, in Barcelos, Portugal. Teaches subjects in undergraduate and master's cycles, in the area of social sciences, humanities and research methodologies. Develops, with regularity, activity of supervision of master's dissertations. Since September 2017 participates in international collaboration programs-ERASMUS- involving European, and in 2023, North American universities. He was a Plenary Speaker at the European Conference on Innovation Management (ECIM) 2024, this conference, held on November 22, took place at Corvinus University, Budapest, Hungary, with the communication "Science Parks and Entrepreneurial Activity: The Case of UPTEC". José Carlos Pereira de Morais doutorou-se em Sociologia pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto em 2010. Docente no ensino superior desde 1997, é Professor Coordenador do Instituto Superior Politécnico Gaya, Portugal (onde colabora há 26 anos) e Professor Adjunto Convidado no ISCAP, Politécnico do Porto, Portugal (colaboração iniciada em 2012). Desde 2012 é diretor da Revista de Psicologia, Educação e Cultura, presidindo as comissões organizadoras dos quatro Congressos Internacionais promovidos pela revista (2013, 2015, 2019 e setembro de 2022). Presidiu as comissões organizadoras dos congresso internacionais ISPGAYA22, ISPGAYA23 e ISPGAYA24, dedicados ao tema da Sustentabilidade. Ao nível da investigação científica, destaca-se a coordenação do Núcleo de Investigação e Desenvolvimento-ISPGAYA e ainda a participação como investigador integrado no CEOS.PP (Centro de Estudos Organizacionais e Sociais do Politécnico do Porto). Desde 2014 até ao presente é Presidente do Conselho Técnico-Científico do ISPGAYA, conciliando a atividade em órgãos de gestão institucional com a atividade docente no ensino superior, com início em 1997, após a conclusão do Mestrado em Sociologia na área do associativismo cultural, também da FLUP, UP. Em 2022 foi consultor técnico e científico na área da sociologia no projeto Ecomuseu do Vale do Neiva, em Barcelos. Leciona disciplinas em ciclos de licenciatura e mestrado, na área das ciências sociais, humanas e metodologias de investigação. Desenvolve, com regularidade, atividade de orientação de dissertações de mestrado. Desde setembro de 2017 participa regularmente em programas de colaboração internacional - ERASMUS- envolvendo universidades europeias e em 2023 norte-americanas. Foi Plenary Speaker, na European Conference on Innovation Management (ECIM) 2024, esta conferência, realizada a 22 de novembro, teve lugar na Universidade Corvinus, Budapeste, Hungria, com a comunicação "Science Parks and Entrepreneurial Activity: The Case of UPTEC".
