Olímpio de Jesus Pereira Sousa Castilho é Licenciado em Direito pela Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Porto/Portugal), tem Pós-Graduação em Estudos Europeus e Mestrado em Ciências Jurídico-Processuais (Direito), ambos estes diplomas pela Universidade de Coimbra ( Portugal) e um DEA (Diploma de Estudos Avançados) pela Universidade de Vigo. Além disso tem o título de "Especialista" pelos Institutos Politécnicos do Porto e de Portalegre e pela Universidade de Aveiro e está prestes a terminar o doutoramento em Direito na Universidade de Vigo (esperando apenas pela defesa da tese). Atualmente é docente no Instituto Politécnico do Porto/ISCAP Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto (Portugal), investigador do CEPESE, Centro de Estudos de População, Economia e Sociedade, e investigador da Universidade de Vigo, Espanha (área do Direito Comercial e do Trabalho). Anteriormente, foi Presidente e Vice-presidente do ISCAP entre 2010-2018 e 2007-2010, respetivamente. A sua carreira no ensino superior português começou como docente e Secretário (diretor de serviços) do ISCAP. As suas áreas de investigação incluem introdução ao direito, mudanças nas carreiras académicas, governação, gestão e direito nas instituições de ensino superior e no subsistema politécnico. Editou 6 livros, vários capítulos de livros sobre trabalhos de investigação científica. Algumas das publicações incluem artigos revistos por pares, publicados em revistas europeias. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Olímpio de Jesus Pereira Sousa Castilho holds a Licenciatura in Law (Law Bachelor) from the Portuguese Catholic University (Porto/Portugal), a Post- Graduate Studies in European Studies and a Master in Sciences (Law), both degrees from the University of Coimbra (Portugal) and a DEA (Advance Studies Diploma) from University of Vigo. Besides that he has the title of "Especialista" from the Polytechnics Instituts of Porto and Portalegre and from University of Aveiro and he is about to finish is PHD in Law at University of Vigo (just waiting for the defense of the thesis). Currently he is a Senior Lecture at Polytechnic Institut of Porto/ISCAP Oporto Accounting and Business School (Portugal), Researcher of CEPESE - Center in Population, Economy and Society Studies and of University of Vigo, Spain (Commercial and Labour Law). Previously, he was Dean and Vice-Dean of ISCAP between 2010-2018 and 2007-2010, respectively. His career in Portuguese higher education began as Lecture and the Head of Administration (Secretary-General) of ISCAP. His areas of research include introdution to law, changes in academic career, governance, management and law in higher education institutions, and the non-university sector. He has edited 6 books, several books chapters in scientific research achievements. Some of the publications include peer-reviewed articles published in European journals.
