Patrícia Ramos is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Business of the Technical University of Porto, and Senior Researcher at INESC TEC - Institute of Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science, and CEOS.PP - Centre for Organizational and Social Studies of Polytechnic of Porto. Her expertise lies in the domain of Artificial Intelligence, where she conducts scientific research encompassing various applications. Her focus areas include forecasting in retail business, personalized diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of cancer patients, data-driven methods for engineering functional materials, and the development of image-based tools for biodiversity monitoring and conservation. She has coordinated and participated in numerous funded research projects, fostering collaborations with industry and the public sector. These partnerships play a pivotal role in driving her impactful research initiatives. In addition to her research contributions, she is actively involved in education, teaching courses in Statistics, Econometrics, and Artificial Intelligence across the first and second cycles. Holding the position of Director of the Master's in Business Intelligence and Analytics and of the Postgraduate Program in Business Analytics at Porto Accounting and Business School, she plays a key role in shaping the educational landscape. Patrícia is the author of several publications indexed in scientific conferences and journals and is also a proud member of the International Institute of Forecasters, showcasing her commitment to advancing the field and contributing to the scientific community.
