Associate Professor of Management at the Polytechnic of Porto - Institute of Accounting and Administration (ISCAP) since 2009. Under-graduated in Management from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto (2007) and PhD in Management from the Portucalense University (2009) with a thesis on "Social Entrepreneurship Initiatives in the Third Sector in Portugal: Antecedents, Behaviours and Organisational Performance". I have taught various subjects, in different study cycles (Degree, Master and Pos-Graduation Diplomas), mainly related to the field of management, such as Introduction to Management, Fundamentals of Management, Operations Management, Entrepreneurship and New Business Creation, Social Entrepreneurship, Strategic and Financial Management of Social Economy Entities, Research Methodologies, among others. Research member of the CEOS.PP- Centre for Organisational and Social Studies of P.Porto. The research interests focus on social entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship, and social and solidarity economy. Program Diretor of the Master’s and the Postgraduate Diploma in Social Economy. Since 2017 I am a full member of the CEOS.PP, and part of its Scientific Council. My research focuses mainly on social entrepreneurship, as well as on sustainable and social practices. I am responsible for the research group on sustainability and social business. Throughout my career, I have published several articles in national and international scientific journals and participated in research projects and conferences.
