Elif Göksu Öztürk is an Assistant Researcher (tenure track) at the Centre for Organizational and Social Studies (CEOS.PP) and a Lecturer at Porto Accounting and Business School (ISCAP), part of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. She holds a PhD in Economics (2023) from the School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto (FEP.UP). During her doctoral studies, she collaborated as a research assistant at INESC TEC, where she gained experience and expertise in the areas of Operations Research, Multi-objective Optimization Methods, Python Programming, and Information Systems. After completing her PhD, she pursued a postdoctoral position at the University of Minho, specializing in Environmental and Ecological Economics. Currently, she continues a master degree on Data Science and Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP). She has four years of experience teaching statistics, applied statistics and research methodologies to undergraduate and master’s students, and over eight years of research experience, focusing on the application of various methods and models, including machine learning, data science, optimization, econometric analysis, and multi-criteria decision-making in socio-economic and environmental contexts. She authored one doctoral thesis and 15 peer-reviewed scientific publications including, journal articles, book chapters and proceedings. Her research interests include Development Economics, Applied Economics, Environmental Economics, Multicriteria Decision-Making, Data Analysis, and Operations Research.
