Ana Maria Alves Bandeia has a degree and master's in accounting and administration, and a doctorate in accounting and financial economics. She is Coordinating Professor at the Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto do Politécnico do Porto (ISCAP.PP), where she has been teaching since 1999. Since 2010, she has been the Director of the Accounting and Administration Degree. She was Director of the Master in Accounting and Finance from 2010 to 2018. She is a member of the Order of Certified Accountants and the General Council of the Accounting Standards Board. She has published several articles in indexed journals, chapters in books and two books. She has also published articles in periodicals and presented papers at national and international conferences. She is currently vice-dean of ISCAP.PP, a position she has held since 2018. She is an integrated researcher at the Centre for Organisational and Social Studies of Porto (CEOS.PP).
