Cristina Torres holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Porto. She is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Business, Technical University of Porto, in the scientific area of Mathematics. Her teaching activities span Mathematics, Statistics, quantitative data analysis, and forecasting methods. She also has experience teaching international students within the Erasmus programme. She is an integrated researcher at the Centre for Social and Organisational Studies (CEOS.PP). She has participated in research and other projects, both as a coordinator and as a team member. She has authored and co-authored scientific publications, presented her research at national and international conferences, served on scientific and organising committees for international conferences, and contributed to the academic community as a peer reviewer and a member of a scientific journal's editorial board. Her research interests include applied statistics, data analysis, count time series analysis, educational technologies in higher education, and learning analytics.
