Cristina Torres has a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Porto. She is senior lecturer at ISCAP, the Porto Accounting and Business School from the Polytechnic of Porto in the scientific area of Mathematics, where she has been teaching since 1997, delivering courses in Mathematics and Statistics. She is a member of the Technical Scientific Council of ISCAP and member of the Center for Social and Organizational Studies of P. Porto (CEOS.PP). She participates in several projects and was co-coordinator of the project MatActiva (http://paol.iscap.ipp.pt/matactiva/) from 2007 to 2022. She has presented numerous papers at national and international conferences, authored/co-authored scientific publications, and was member of scientific committees for several international conferences. Her research interests include data processing and analysis, time series analysis of counts, technologies in teaching-learning in higher education, and learning analytics.
