Marina holds a PhD in Communication Studies: Technology, Culture and Society from the University of Minho. Her research focuses on the interactions between society, technology, and communication, with particular attention to contemporary socio-technical dynamics. She is a collaborating researcher at LabCom – Communication and Arts (University of Beira Interior), a research unit focused on communication and new media technologies, and a member of the Research Laboratory on the Economy, Technology and Communication Policies (Telas – UFC, Ceará). She was previously affiliated with the Oscar Sala Chair Study Group at the Institute of Advanced Studies (USP, São Paulo). As a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Research Centre in Psychology of the University of Minho, she developed activities as a science communication manager. Founder of Agência Comunicadora, she leads a communication and design agency focused on purpose-driven communication, developing strategic concepts for visual communication, brand identity, and website design.
