Ana Lúcia Terra is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Coimbra, teaching in the Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degrees in Information Science, since November 2020. Since 2021, she is Director of the Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science. She holds a PhD in Information Science (2009) from the University of Coimbra, a degree in History and a Master's degree in Modern History from the same institution. She also holds a Specialisation Diploma in Documentation Sciences (Archives and Libraries/Documentation options) from the University of Coimbra. Since 2002, she has been teaching Information Science, in the Degree in Library and Information Sciences and Technologies and in the Master in Business Information, and also in the Post-Graduate Specialisation Course in School Library Management (Polytechnic Institute of Porto). In 2009, she was awarded the Raul Proença Prize (Portuguese National Association of Librarians, Archivists and Documentalists). She is an integrated member of CEIS20 - UC and a collaborating member of CEOS-PP (Polytechnic Institute of Porto) and CITCEM (University of Porto). She is President of the Iberian Chapter of ISKO and an elected member of the Board of the BOBCATSSS Association (AKA Euclid). She coordinated the Information Science Working Group of SOPCOM (2013-2019). Her research and publications focus on information management, information behaviour, knowledge organisation and information representation. She participates as a principal investigator and as a researcher in several funded projects (Erasmus+, FCT, etc).
