Luciana Oliveira is an Assistant Professor at Faculty of Business (FCEP, former ISCAP) at the Technical University of Porto (former Polytechnic of Porto (P.Porto)), where she is also the Director of the Centre for Pedagogical Innovation (CIP), and a researcher with an interdisciplinary profile spanning Communication and Media and Education Sciences. Her work examines strategic communication and digital content governance, including social media content strategy, performance measurement, and analytics, alongside broader questions of digital transformation in education and professional contexts. Drawing on digital methods and computational social science, she investigates how platform dynamics shape public discourse and civic participation, covering media literacy and misinformation, online incivility and hate speech, and the role of trust and authority cues in digital environments. Her recent research examines how AI is reshaping education and professional communication, including the skills, roles, and career trajectories emerging in AI-mediated workplaces. She has extensive experience in international and European-funded research projects and collaborations, contributing to research design, quality assurance, dissemination, and capacity-building activities, and serves as an Associate Editor for peer-reviewed international journals, while also acting as a regular peer reviewer across a broad range of outlets. Her work has received academic distinctions, including awards for innovative teaching practices and recognised conference papers.
